Today, 9.4 million Chinese students take the national college entrance exam, known in China as the gaokao.
The gaokao, to be held on June 7-8, these two days are a moment of high stress in China, before we called it "Black July", as millions of students compete for a limited number of university places. They will sit roughly nine hours over a period of two days, for the high-stress exam for admission to a Chinese college. Gaogao is only a part of life, it's not the end.
